Cebu Pacific's advisory on Power Bank Usage and Carriage



Cebu Pacific (CEB) advises its customers that the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines mandates that power banks be used and carried on board properly.

Travelers are permitted to bring up to 100Wh power banks.  Passengers can ask the check-in desk for permission to use power banks that have a capacity between 100Wh and 160Wh. 





It is strictly forbidden to use or charge power banks while flying for safety reasons.

Passengers are required to carry their power banks in their pockets or in the seat pocket in front of them.

It is not permitted to store power banks behind seats or in the overhead bin.

To avoid short circuits, any loose or spare lithium batteries, including power banks, need to be packed separately.  Lithium battery terminals should be taped or preserved in their original packing, and power banks should be kept in protective pouches, plastic bags, or zip-lock bags.

By allowing the absence of identification documents, credit histories, and other documentation frequently needed by traditional banking institutions to provide access to basic financial services, GCash has assisted in overcoming this obstacle. By using technology as a vehicle for good and democratization, the fintech pioneer has chosen to employ alternative data based on a user's digital footprint, updating and making financial solutions more accessible.

A focus on women’s economic empowerment 
GCash wants to develop its digital financial ecosystem and innovate more in order to promote equality and inclusion even more.  Women-led MSMEs and the development of private-public partnerships to ensure an intersectional approach are the main topics of this agenda.

More than 6.9 million Filipinos, including those from grassroots sectors (such as farmers, sari-sari store owners, and public market sellers), have already received more than PhP 186 billion in loans from GCash, which provides assistance to meet the particular difficulties encountered by women.

TCL Succeeds in Reaching Triple Top 1 Positions in Major Global TV Shipments



The market research firm Omdia has awarded TCL Electronics, a well-known consumer electronics company and the number two TV brand in the world, three Global number 1 rankings, emphasizing its dominance in Google TVs, Mini LED TVs, and ultra-large TVs.

The most recent statistics from Omdia shows that TCL had a 22.1% market share in 2024, leading the world in shipments of 85-inch and larger TVs.  Furthermore, TCL maintained its dominance in Google TV shipments worldwide from 2021 to 2024 and achieved the top spot in Mini LED TV shipments with a 28.8% share.

The growing demand for large-screen and mini LED TVs in recent years is in line with TCL's performance, which leads the market. More families are choosing larger and clearer TVs to improve their home entertainment experience as a result of spending more time at home. Global exports of 80-inch and larger TVs are Omdia’s forecasts to increase by 35% annually, making up 7% of the total display market in 2025; by 2030, that percentage is projected to rise to 11%.  Similarly, it is anticipated that shipments of Mini LED TVs would reach 9.3 million units by 2025, highlighting the continued desire for high-end display technologies.

AirAsia recently received allegations of internet fraudsters impersonating trustworthy travel providers and utilizing fictitious company registrations to trick tourists into making reservations.

AirAsia actively discourages booking through unreliable websites and social media pages, particularly those that ask for personal information or advertise offers that look too good to be true, in order to protect visitors.

AirAsia Philippines showed improved fraud detection methods in 2024 by blocking 51 accounts linked to scam occurrences.
