Smart, Hatchiko Empower Load Resellers

“Our partnership with Hatchiko through our key account Muenchen Corporation ensures that our Smart load products and services are accessible to the millions of Filipinos that they serve, and at the same time, augment the income of resellers by adding value-packed and relevant products to their portfolio.” ~Gia Palafox, Head of Sales and Development at Smart

Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), a wireless unit of PLDT Inc. (PLDT), has partnered with Hatchiko Corp. (Hatchiko), a digital and retail distribution company, to offer a digital platform to Smart load resellers.

Load resellers can manage transactions and track their load wallet balance, rebates earned, and Hatchifund balance via the Hatchiko digital platform at any time. They will also have access to Maya's simplified reloading and payment options.

“We aim to transform the current load reseller model by launching a digital loading portal that simplifies and streamlines the loading process for both resellers and consumers, empowering them with tools that can enable a more efficient, transparent, and scalable solution to support resellers in managing their transactions and growing their businesses.” ~Bill Vergel Mendoza, President at Hatchiko

Since its introduction in 2003, Smart e-load has been one of the fastest-selling products among resellers and retailers across the country. Smart e-load, a world-first innovation in mobile communication, ushered in prepaid services, democratizing access to mobile communication for Filipinos and facilitating communication across the country and internationally.

“Smart has been a valued partner of Muenchen and Hatchiko, and they have supported us in all our endeavors, especially in improving the livelihood of our members.” ~Roselle Calica, President at Muenchen Corp.

Hatchiko is Muenchen's digital arm, offering a variety of services to its users such as platform integration solutions, bulk transaction management, and e-load processing.

Partnerships with companies such as Hatchiko and Muenchen are an important part of PLDT and Smart's commitment to closing the digital divide and providing more Filipinos with access to communications, which contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
