Sony Philippines first-ever Creator's Fest in Manila

A day filled with expert-led sessions for content creators of all levels featuring Sony’s cutting-edge gear.

Sony Philippines wrapped up its inaugural Creator's Fest, an immersive event designed to help content creators elevate their storytelling with superior technology and expertise. This exclusive event, held in the historic and culturally rich setting of Intramuros, included a day full of engaging experiences, demonstrations, and insights from Sony's roster of creators.

Sony President Shuhei Suhigara greets the audience with a heartfelt message, stating that the company aims to connect with creators and followers of the digital landscape because “it is people that create and experience Kando,” which is one of Sony's key elements of purpose.

*Kando is a Japanese word that roughly translates to the sense of awe and emotion you feel when experiencing something beautiful and amazing for the first time.

A Camera for Every Creator

Sony's cameras are world-renowned for their superior specifications, making them ideal for creators who value quality and creativity. Whether participants were beginners discovering their creative side, seasoned creators honing their craft, or industry leaders pushing the envelope, the Creator's Fest provided an ideal environment for content creation exploration.

An extensive lineup of Sony cameras was on full display, allowing creators to test the right gear for their changing needs. From the ZV-1 II for beginners to the A6700 and FX30 for more advanced storytellers, Sony provided a variety of options to suit every content creator. These cameras were designed to provide the best content creation experience possible, capturing each shot with unparalleled precision and clarity.

Experiential Zones to Inspire and Ignite Creativity
At the heart of the Creator's Fest were five experiential zones that embodied Sony's Kando ethos—a Japanese word that translates to "the power of emotions"—by providing guests with hands-on experiences that sparked creativity and passion.

Gastro Experience with Erwan Heussaff and Abi Marquez: Erwan Heussaff and Abi Marquez led a food styling and photography session at Barbara's Heritage Restaurant, demonstrating how to plate and photograph the classic Filipino dessert, Brazo de Mercedes. Participants used the ZV-E10 II to learn how to highlight texture, color, and cultural context in their food photos. This hands-on session brought food photography to life with a modern twist on traditional Filipino dishes, covering everything from creative plating techniques to indoor lighting mastery.

Lifestyle Fashion Shoot with Janina Manipol and Marco Gallo: In this session, creators explored the intersection of colonial and modern styles through editorial fashion photography, using professional equipment powered by Aputure PH. Guided by Janina and Marco, participants attempted to capture radiant outdoor beauty, focusing on soft natural light, angles, textures, and background blur. The session focused on capturing intricate fashion details, making sure each shot told a unique story.

Beauty and Lifestyle with Jaz Reyes: Jaz Reyes demonstrated beauty photography techniques with the help of Ellana Cosmetics. Creators experimented with the interplay of sunlight, shadows, and textures, learning how to seamlessly integrate product items into the landscape for visually stunning shots.

Travel Content Creation with Anjohn Sorza: Through photography, Anjohn Sorza demonstrated how to create visually compelling travel content in collaboration with Herschel. Using the ZV-E10 II, A6700, and A7CII, creators learned how to incorporate architectural elements into their visual stories, using dramatic natural light, creative angles, and human elements to bring historical spaces to life.

Lifestyle Bar and Action Photography with Jessica Lee: During a live cocktail flaring performance with Hikaru, Jessica Lee demonstrated how to take dynamic action shots. With creative lighting techniques, creators were able to freeze fast movements and enhance the shine and motion of bottles and glasses. This session tasked creators to capture the excitement and drama of bartending tricks from unexpected perspectives.

A Celebration of Creativity and Innovation
Attendees not only participated in hands-on workshops and immersive experiences, but they also had the unique opportunity to firsthand explore the latest Sony products, including the highly anticipated ZV-E10 II. Product experts were on hand to guide creators through demonstrations, showcasing how Sony's cameras and accessories are designed to enhance content creation across various niches. In addition to the exclusive product showcases, attendees received special giveaways from Sony and its partner brands, making the event both educational and rewarding for all involved.

Sony Philippines' first Creator's Fest reaffirmed the company's commitment to cultivating a community of creators who are passionate about storytelling, quality, and innovation. The event provided a unique opportunity to learn, create, and connect with like-minded people in a dynamic and inspiring environment.
