Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines 2024 National Champion is Klockwise (Kenneth Martinez)

“I’m so happy. I’ve gone through a lot from the Manila qualifiers, to the finals. I’m so grateful that I got to experience this. Thank you, Red Bull. Thank you to the whole dance community. That time, I felt lighter and my nerves were calmer because it was already the middle of the competition. I was getting fired up. I could hear the music so clearly, and I really just wanted to dance. I can’t think about it just yet. It might take some time (for it to sink in). But the opportunity is mine, so I will fully grab it. We saw the incredible talent of 16 finalists from across the country, and Klockwise emerged as the national champion! With exceptional dance technique and an upbeat personality, Klockwise will proudly represent the Philippines at the World Finals in Mumbai, India, where he or she will compete against dancers from 50 countries. 


 

 



 

 

 



The atmosphere was electric as the country's best dancers gathered to compete in the highly anticipated Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines National Finals. This year's competition, held at Kilometer Zero - Rizal Park in Luneta on September 28, was a thrilling display of talent, skill, and passion that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. 

Red Bull Dance Your Style is a well-known global one-on-one street dance competition where dancers demonstrate their freestyle and improvisation abilities. Unlike typical dance competitions, which feature a panel of judges, Red Bull Dance Your Style gives the audience the power to decide the winner. This results in a more intense dance battle, with dancers showcasing their skills to captivate the audience.




Following a successful series of regional qualifiers, the Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines National Finals featured 16 of the best dancers from across the country. The competition was fierce, with each dancer pushing the envelope of talent and creativity. 






Following several rounds of intense battles, the top four finalists: Klockwise, MSTR PIECE, JXYB, and Nemesis, competed for the top spot. In the end, locking master Klockwise (Kenneth Martinez) emerged victorious. He danced his way to victory, captivating the audience throughout the competition. He expertly injected theatricality into his "campbellock" or "locking" freestyle performances, demonstrating a masterclass in style and skill, earning him the well-deserved trophy and a ticket to the World Finals as the Philippines' sole representative.

Klockwise, a Valenzuela native, has honed his craft with unwavering determination through countless rehearsals and competitions, always striving to improve his talent and acquire new skills.




Klockwise disclosed that his personal competition highlight was his battle round with Ponla during the Top 8 battle round. 

Xiaomi, 7-Eleven, and New Era served as the official event partners for this year's National Finals. The audience was treated to a car showcase by Stance Philippines and a truly Filipino-themed performance by Team Tera PH. Morobeats also played a set, bringing the sounds of Manila's streets to the stage. Homegrown dance icons A-TEAM and the legendary Philippine Allstars also lit up the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals stage, making the evening even more memorable. 






With the Red Bull Dance Your Style Philippines officially concluded, all attention now shifts to the upcoming Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals in India, where the best of the best dancers from around the world will compete in what promises to be an epic showdown. Klockwise will travel to Mumbai, India as the Philippines' sole representative to compete against the best dancers from 50 different countries. 

The energy, excitement, and stakes will be even higher as fans wait to see who wins.

Bioessence Celebrates 30 Year Anniversary Caring Beyond Beauty

Sneak peek of new products and machines

To expand its portfolio of services, Bioessence is introducing a new machine called Harmony, which will complement its existing advanced non-invasive treatments Exilis and Plasma, demonstrating that Bioessence has a complete solution for beautiful skin and body. 


Launch of revamped website and apps
For Bioessence, caring extends beyond the confines of their clinics and the convenience of online shopping. With their #CaringBeyondBeauty mission, they ensure that clients have a positive experience even before visiting their clinics or using their products. This is why Bioessence redesigned its website to improve service accessibility.

The new website will be integrated with Bioessence's new app, ESSIE, which will provide real-time syncing of services, booking schedules, and other critical information that will be accessible at all times and from any location. Unlike other leading beauty brands, Bioessence provides this level of convenience, ensuring a seamless user experience.




In addition to the previously mentioned offerings, Bioessence plans to launch Perfect Skin, an innovative skin assessment tool. With a single tap, this app can quickly and accurately identify skin concerns and recommend the most effective treatments.


New ambassadress reveal
One of the night's highlights will be the announcement of Bioessence PH's new ambassador, a full-circle moment for someone who truly embodies the brand's mission of "Caring Beyond Beauty." This is a significant milestone for the brand, especially since their previous celebrity ambassador was announced prior to the pandemic.




Following the celebration, a major discount campaign will begin in October, with open house events at all 33 branches nationwide for everyone to enjoy.

The celebration includes key opinion leaders, stakeholders, loyal customers, and influential figures who have helped Bioessence succeed over the last three decades. This Pearl Event will also feature special performances by the Philippines' Bossa Nova singer Sitti and The Crooner Richard Poon. The Shaburi Dining Experience
The Shaburi brand name is derived from the word "shabu-shabu" and the "ri" character, which is pronounced sato. Sato means hometown or village in Japanese, and Shaburi strives to highlight authentic Japanese hometown flavors on its menu.






Shaburi stands out from other shabu-shabu restaurants with its personalized dining concept. Instead of sharing a hot pot, each customer receives their own. Customers can also choose between a single or twin pot.


Quality Meats, Broths, and More
Shaburi's mouthwatering menu features high-quality meats, flavorful broths, and a variety of Japanese side dishes such as sushi rolls, tempura, chawanmushi, and karaage, among others.

The restaurant's flavorful soup options include the Original Konbu, its famous broth made with kombucha, the King of Seaweeds, which has a natural umami taste and is low in calories but high in minerals, and Chicken Collagen Paitan, a thick and creamy white chicken soup made with plenty of collagen, making it ideal for those looking for smooth skin.






Other soup options include Hot Miso, which has a flavorful spiciness and the health benefits of miso; Beef Pepper, a delicate soup that pairs well with beef; and Sukiyaki, a traditional Japanese broth with sweet and savory flavors.

Shaburi's meat options include low-fat pork, tasty beef, pork belly, and tender chicken. Customers can also select premium meat options such as Iberico Pork Collar, Angus Beef, and Wagyu.
