Launch of the San Juan Ecobridge Plastic Recycling Project, which will transform the nation's first footbridge out of recycled and sustainable materials which is a Groundbreaking Collaboration between MMDA headed by Chairman Don Artes and the Media Puzzle Holdings Corp, and Kamaymanos Art and Design Co. benefitting San JuaneƱos and those who visit the city. ☺️ We were joined by Vice Mayor Angelo Agcaoili and our City Councilors.
The Project has been initiated by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in association with Media Puzzle Holdings Corp and in cooperation with Kamaymanos Art & Design. This project is revolutionary because it is the first footbridge in Metro Manila to be decorated with recycled materials that are sustainable, raising the bar for both environmental sustainability and urban beautification.
The San Juan EcoBridge, located at Ortigas Avenue Extension and Club Filipino Avenue in San Juan City, has been transformed from recycled plastic waste, primarily sachet plastics. This project not only improves the aesthetics of the footbridge, but it also addresses pressing environmental concerns by repurposing materials that are traditionally considered non-recyclable.

Orbos also emphasized the Philippines' significant contribution to ocean plastic waste, citing Metro Manila's heavily polluted rivers. He hopes that the San Juan EcoBridge Retrofit Project will catalyze a global movement toward environmental sustainability and demonstrate that Filipinos are not only part of the problem, but also the solution.
Ms. Cherry Carrera, president of Media Puzzle Holdings Corp., thanked the MMDA for their collaboration and support in using the footbridge for this groundbreaking project. She emphasized that this initiative is perfectly aligned with the MMDA's values and represents a pioneering effort within Media Puzzle Holdings Corp.'s ongoing footbridge beautification program. Carrera also stated that this project is only the beginning, and that with this initial effort, the future of the environment looks promising.
Carrera also expressed her gratitude to San Juan City LGU, particularly Mayor Francis Zamora, for their unwavering support for this project. She emphasized that their dedication to improving the city's infrastructure and environment has helped ensure the project's success.
