GCash, the Philippines' leader in digital financial services, unveiled groundbreaking innovations at this year’s GCash Futurecast, revolutionizing the country's fintech landscape and elevating consumer experience.

State-of-the-Art Security

GCash FutureCast 2024 began with the introduction of Online PaySafe, an added security feature when adding to cart that allows for worry-free online transactions. Using this feature, customers are directed to the GCash app during the payment process to complete their transaction with multi-factor authentication. This improves security by reducing open windows and tabs, which expose user accounts to potential takeovers, payment scam links, and website spoofing.

Gigi makes it easier to get help. Gigi, powered by generative AI, can now seamlessly handle common queries and escalate complex issues. Gigi can also run security checks, view previous conversations, and connect users to live agents as needed.

To combat online fraud, GCash, in collaboration with Chubb, launched Send Money Protect. Users can now insure up to PHP 15,000 of their transactions for 30 days for as little as PHP 30. This includes transactions from potential scammers who impersonate someone they know or disguise themselves as a legitimate store.

Design Innovations

GCash also released three new app designs to provide a more intuitive experience. Dashboard 3.0 has a new look and easy navigation, allowing customers to access their favorite GCash products at a glance. The app's new save, borrow, and grow tabs allow users to view their most frequently used features.

The new and improved GCat & Friends, your new money-savvy best friends, are ready to help make money management more enjoyable and educational. GCat's friends include Corey G, who sniffs out the best deals, and GRaf, who reminds customers when it's time to start saving and investing.

Money Manager is a real-time spending tracker that displays spending on the app to help customers spend and save wisely.
