Attendees and spectators at Prime Z's recent soft launch were taken aback when they saw a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team in full battle gear performing as a "model, mascot, or endorser" for the new company.
hey stated that it is unusual for the Philippine National Police (PNP) SWAT team to come, "in all their glory," to a private event unrelated to the community's peace and order program.
The appearance of the SWAT squad at the Prime Z Entrepreneurs Inc. opening was also compared to a military drill by witnesses, despite the fact that the company is in the marketing industry.
They stated they're asking if the elite PNP force may now be rented as mascots or protection for a private firm or event, or if they can even become an endorser.
Some observers revealed that, despite having a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration, Prime Z apparently lacks a permission from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which is a basic necessity for its sort of operations.
They further alleged that the company sells and distributes "high risk food products," which can easily cause food poisoning according to the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) list.
The observers are asking Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. if the SWAT operations at the Prime Z event are still part of the PNP's authority.
