The Arts refers to the theory, human application, and physical expression of creativity found in human cultures and societies through skills and imagination in order to produce objects, environments, and experiences. Major constituents of the arts include visual arts (including architecture, ceramics, drawing, filmmaking, painting, photography, and sculpting), literary arts (including fiction, drama, poetry, and prose), performing arts (including dance, music, and theatre), and culinary arts (including cooking, chocolate making, and winemaking).
“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” ~Leonardo da Vinci
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures for the art community, and what better way to uplift spirits than to bring art closer to everyone through Ortigas Malls’ award-winning and admission-free Ortigas Art Festival 2021.

Now in its 4th year, the annual Ortigas Art Festival was first launched in 2018 with the vision of making art accessible to everyone. In 2019, the festival’s roster grew to over 130 artists from all over the Philippines and then grew even bigger with over 200 artists including international artists from Southeast Asia in 2020.
The fourth installment of the Ortigas Art Festival has ventured out to film this year from the previous year’s photography, paintings, and sculptures exhibits. Exhibit head Renato Habulan, a multi-awarded

ARMK, founded by photographer Alex Baluyut, led artists and volunteers to provide comfort food to survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan) in November 2013. Since then, ARMK has evolved to become an independent movement for food aid in the country in times of man-made or natural disasters. ARMK volunteers cook hot meals in times of war, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, El Nino, storms, and for people most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. ARMK cooks for depressed areas or where people are hungry, and where food is most needed.

vMeme (pronounced vee-meem) is a structure of thinking which manifests in human behavior & development, social dynamics, systems, choices, directions, and culture at large. The perspective that aesthetics of art goes beyond physical, aesthetic, and economic value is what prompts the establishment of vMeme Contemporary Art Gallery, a curator-run space founded by an art historian who wishes to have an art space market readily available for curatorial projects devoid of pressures from market and institutional forces, and that supports Philippine contemporary artists who integrate advocacy in their practice. It is intended to provide a space for concept and advocacy-led exhibition projects dealing with art history and historiography, environmental advocacy, human rights, women's and children's rights, socio-political issues, and pushing the boundaries of form, content, and audience. The artworks presented in vMeme exhibition and collection represent a culture of hope and freedom for art, artists, communities, and our society.
