CAMERAHAUS PHOTO FESTIVAL

The Most Awaited Photo Festival

ABOUT PHOTOFESTIVAL
PHOTOFESTIVAL is photography and videography event of CAMERAHAUS in collaboration with BGC High Street. This is a 2-day event that will be held at BGC High Street (9thth avenue to 5th avenue) on May 28 and 29. PHOTOFESTIVAL is open for EVERYONE whether you are a hobbyist, interested in learning photography, or a professional photographer because the event will showcase a lot of camera-hacks, tips, and techniques on how they can shoot creatively. Nowadays, people tend to capture their greatest moments in life in most creative way whether they are using DSLRs or their smartphones. The event is also letting the people know that Bonifacio Global City would like to promote that it is a “PHOTO-FRIENDLY” place and that every corner in BGC is worth a shot. There will be talks and workshops that will be facilitated by some of the best photographers and videographers in the country. Booths of various camera brands and camera accessories with their fun activities that will make the participants enjoy it. The activities will boost their passion in photography, broaden their knowledge, and enhance their skills in photography with the inspiration from the best photographers in the country.

EXPLORE AREAS

REGISTRATION BOOTH:
On 11th Avenue is where Registration booth is placed. Please be guided that all pre-registered guest may proceed to the registration and like the FB Page of Camerahaus and claim their event passport and event wrist band. Walk-in guest will be also entertain. They only need to fill-up a registration form then like the FB Page of Camerhaus and claim their event passport. Guest must visit, stamped, and complete the partners booth to enable them to get the Photofestival kit or Freebie.

FESTIVAL AREA
On 9th Avenue is where the Festival Area, the Main Stage and the Service Stations is placed. Festival area are the booths of the partners of Camerahaus. Each booth have their own activity for your enjoyment but some has limited slots for you to try their game so you really have to register early. Main Stage is where mostly the talks and workshops is done by the photographers we invited. Service Station is a free cleaning camera section you only need to show a proof of purchase from a legitimate distributor of their camera. For non-RED cameras or no proof of purchase will charge a fee.

ACTIVITY AREA
On 7th Avenue is the Activity Area. It is where all the activities that is required of wide movements or an equipment that need an open area like drones, martial arts, and BMX riders.

LIFESTYLE AREA
On 5th Avenue it is where you will see the Lifestyle Area. Lifestyle Area is segmented into 3 parts and that is: Kids Photography, Coffee Talk, and Beauty and Fashion. Kids Photography is where they will learn the basics of photography. Next is the Coffee Talk, it has a free flowing coffee and has a lounge setting so that they will feel comfortable talking to one another. Last but not the least is the Beauty and Fashion where the ladies can learn some beauty and selfie tips. Perfect for the ladies who are looking for their perfect angle for the perfect selfie.

This weekend, at 4pm of May 28 and 29th, at Bonifacio High Street, I will be conducting a free automotive photography seminar at the Mazda display along the 9th Street main exhibit area of the Camerahaus Photofestival event. If you're interested in learning how to take photos of cars or even how to make your car photos stand out from the rest, do sign up at the invite link to CameraHaus' weekend event. 

Mazda Philippines will be giving away prizes to the best car photos taken during this event. Some more tokens from Fujifilm Philippines will also be on hand. Also Hoya filters, Benro tripods and of course CameraHaus, trusted dealer of non-grey market photography gear.

JAY CONTRERAS
Hobbyist / Musician
Other than the lead singer of the band Kamikazee, Jay Contreras is an avid photographer. He considers photography as on of his past time.

JASON MAGBANUA
Videographer
Is a wedding photographer and received a lot of international awards. He’s being also called as the “Holy Grail of videographers”, whose videos are posted all over Youtube, personal blogs, and websites.

WESLEY VILLARICA
Director
After completing a degree in psychology, he turned a hobby into profession, which is photography, that led him to build Parallax Studio in 2005. In 2011, he was honored to be one of the Canon’s Crusaders of Light. In 2013, he finished film studies course in New York University and pursue on being a director for commercials and music videos.

XYZA BACANI
Street And Documentary Photographer
A Filipina Street and Documentary photgrapher who has been featured in New York Times Lens Blog, CNN and various international media publication not only for he execellence in photography but also for her inspirational story. She is also one of the MAGNUN FOUNDATION HUMAN RIGHTS FELLOWS 2015, has exhibited worldwide, Forbes 30 under 30 and a Fujifil Ambassador.

MICHELLE DY
Full-time Blogger
A Filipina blogger, Youtube vlogger, and a Make-up Guru. Since the day she started blogging she’s endeavor of doing different make-ups from different celebrities and now, giving make-up tips from her subscribers in YouTube and to her readers in her blog.

KRISTINE ROCES
Full-time Blogger
She’s a teacher, blogger, and a nail-art enthusiast. She opened her blog last June 2011 and since then she started doing cute and attractive nail-arts. Other than doing art, she’s also into fashion, beauty, food, movies, and everything in between.

RICKY LADIA
Portraiture Photographer
Photography has been his passion for more than two decades since it was started as a hobby back in the 80s and it is now his life. He has worked with advertising and publishing companies from the Philippines to the Middle East. Recently, he was named as Asia’s and Philippines’ First Tamron Image Master.

ALEX RUELO
Wedding Photographer
A senior photographer at Imagine Nation Photography. He studied photography at The New York Institute of Photography. He mostly shoots portraits and weddings. Light is not a problem for him because he always creatively finds a way on how create and recreate scenes by using strobes and flashes.

MIKKO DAVID
Top Gear Photographer
A Motorsports editor, writer, and photographer. Other than shooting cars, he likes to drive them also ,to the extent if necessarily. Despite his year for speed, he's an all-around nice guy who always manages to flash a smile.

ROMY OCON
Bird Photographer
A self-taught, color-blind, nature, Filipino photographer and the founder/administrator of the Philippine Bird Photography Forum. He is a civil engineer by training and concrete technologist by specialization. He started working as an employed professional in 1989, then became an entrepreneur in 1997. In 2004, he semi-retired at 39 to concentrate on pursuing his passion which is - wild bird imaging.

NOLI GABILO
Travel Photographer
Noli is a professional travel photographer whose work has been featured in publications, shows, and books worldwide. He is also an accomplished photography tour guide and provides private mentorship for serious photographers. 

JIJO DE GUZMAN
Sports And Action Photographer
Jijo is a Manila-based professional specializing in sports and action photography. He shot a lot of different sporting events with notable clients and groups like include Motor sports for Marlboro and Running for Adidas. He is part of a group called Guided By Light and together, they travel around the country in search of "the perfect light" and the beautiful sceneries that they have envisioned. 

GEORGE TAPAN
Travel Photographer
Who gone a lot of places in the Philippines and was able to capture images all over the SOuth East Asia, China, and Europe. George Tapan won two Pacific Asia Tourism Association (PATA) Gold Awards, ASEAN Tourism Association award and first place in the 2011 National Geographic Photo Contest and published 5 travel photography books

NIKO VILLEGAS
Dance Sport Photogrpaher
He was introduced in arts at early age by his dad. Growing up between the life of art and photography, he started photography as an elective in college. Then he decided to broaden his horizon and moved to the United States in 2006 to take BA in Photography at The Art Center Design College, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Apart from his dad, his major influences are his mentors: Xander Angeles, Jerry Ghionis, Chase Jarvis, and Richard Avedon.

JAN GONZALES
Dance Sport Photographer
He started photography at 1995. He is based in Cebu, Philippines. He is self-taught, he do all the post-production and retouching of his photos. He photographs for commercial and portfolio purposes. “Patience, experiment, and experience create good photos.”

TED MADAMBA
Landscape Photographer / Educator
From a photographer hobbyist to a professional photographer and lecturer, Ted Madamba reaped awards from a number of prestigious photo competition here in the Philippines and abroad. He is the only Filipino mentor at International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT), which is recognized as one of the world’s top film schools.

JOE GALIA
Educator
A Nikon pro, an educator, and photographer known for his artisan talents and strobist techniques,and facilitated Nikon School’s first ever Wedding Wosrkshop.

BORJ MENESES
Portrait Photographer
A musician and painter at heart, the art of Borj Meneses has evolved from humble beginnings as a struggling graphic designer to highly-coveted Portrait, beauty, food and glamour photographer. The most recent addition to the line of Canon Ambassadors in the Philippines, Borj is now a sought-after lecturer in basic and advanced photography. His sessions mirror genuine knowledge-transfer from past mentors such as Jun Miranda, Ibarra Deri, Dominic James, and Xander Angeles. Aside from glamour and fashion photography, Borj provides seminar-workshops in basic digital photography as well as basic and advanced lighting. When he is not shooting for FHM Philippines, Stella, Asean Dragon, and Garage, Borj works as the creative officer of the Clark Development Corporation’s Public Affairs Department.

EDWIN TUYAY
Photojournalist
A photojournalist, street,and corporate photographer. He started off his career as a still photographer for local and international film productions. Then applied for staff photographer ion Manila Chronicle and became a lecture for Photojournalism at Philippines Center for Creative Imaging.

What time will the event start?
  • The registration will start at 10AM, both for pre-registered guest and walk-ins.

Do I still need to print the ticket?
  • Yes.

Does the event has a dress code?
  • None. Wear any color but NOT gray.

Are there any registration/entrance fee?
  • None. The event is free for everyone you only need to register at the Registration booth located at 11th Avenue so that you can join in the raffle and in the activities.

Can I walk-in to the event?
  • Yes you can.
