Recently, I've found out, that on earliest days of Chinese Culture, Lanterns are entrance-way lightning, it's highly ornamental & decorative in chinese Houses, temples & palaces, it serves as a portable light on gateways .

Also, Lighting a Lantern means "Illuminating the future & giving Birth". A way of mankind to pray for smooth futures and wishes good health for families.

Chan Lim Family's first exhibit in 1995 was held in SM Megamall.
To date, they have held 14 family exhibits. 21 years after, the family continues to partner with SM Supermalls. Together with their students, they have traveled nationwide to have exhibit and conduct free Chinese Painting Workshop.
Chan Lim is the name used by the family patriarch in signing all his artworks.
The name is formed by combining the last names of the sibling's parents. His real name is Jose.
None of the Chan Lim family members have degrees related to arts.
The Chan Lim siblings Alex, Felix, Rolex and Jolex are licensed engineers and connected with multinational companies in various industries.
Their first interaction painting was an Oil painting done in 1998.
It was a Chinese style painting given as a gift to the family patriarch's, Chan Lim, 60th birthday. The painting is currently displayed in their Pasig residence.
Innovation is an important focus area for the family.
Coming from different fields and industries, the family was able to launch artworks done in other materials like fan, lantern and porcelain plate.
