The Philippines is known as the "Milan of Asia." The PIFS and IDM events are intended to establish the Philippines as a major force in the global design industry by showcasing a range of high-quality, sustainable designs that combine traditional Filipino techniques with modern aesthetics and are derived from the islands' abundant natural resources.

A hub for innovation and emerging talents

The event will also showcase emerging designers and creators with exceptional activations like a specially designed pavilion by renowned architect Anton Mendoza and an impressive art installation by renowned artist Leeroy New.   These intriguing exhibits will look at how Filipino designers are still pushing the boundaries while honoring the country's rich cultural heritage.

Seminars, awards, and competitions

In addition to being exhibitions, PIFS and IDM serve as centers for education and acknowledgment.  Insightful seminars that provide a deeper understanding of international design trends and techniques are anticipated for attendees, including one organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.  In the meantime, the MICE Sector The forum will showcase innovations and best practices in the field of design.

Through the Designer Awards, the event will also recognize the most creative designers in the country, highlighting the pinnacle of Filipino ingenuity.  A new generation of designers will also be inspired to reconsider the direction of Filipino design by the MVMT Design Competition, which pays homage to the pioneering work of the Movement 8 collective.
