For Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines, Inc. (PCPPI), the year 2024 was a significant one.  One of its emerging leaders, the Tomas production facility, was named a member of PepsiCo's 2024 Chairman's Circle of Champions.  One of the top global operations associates who has shown exceptional excellence in the areas of safety, quality, service, and cost control is Quality Control Manager Jackielou De Guzman.  De Guzman attended the award ceremonies in New York last October 2024 along with other prominent workers from around the world. 

Leading the Sto was one of her most noteworthy accomplishments.  internal food safety audits at the Tomas plant and helping the group obtain its first FSSC 22000 Certification in 2019.  The manufacturing sector uses this model for safety certification.  With her direction, Sto.  Throughout their recertification audit cycles and other safety reviews and evaluations, Tomas consistently delivered quality work. 

The Sto. Tomas From 2020 to 2023, the Tomas manufacturing team also earned high ratings from Quality Assurance Systems (QAS).  Additionally, De Guzman provided more than 1,300 hours of training for internal programs, including those on Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Hygiene Practices, and Quality and Food Safety.

The plant's goal to obtain a Certificate of Authority to Operate (CATO) a Chemical Laboratory in accordance with Republic Act No. 10657, also known as the "Chemistry Profession Act," benefited greatly from her experience with regulatory compliance.  In 2023, PCPPI was able to realize substantial savings thanks to a project she introduced to reduce product loss for PET products. 

De Guzman was selected as the Sto's Hero for Food Safety.  The Tomas plant was honored as a Gold Crown Awardee at the 2024 PCPPI National Summit of Bravehearts and during the 2023 World Food Safety Month celebration.  Employees who best embody PCPPI's core values—integrity, innovation, care and respect, empowerment, and excellence—are granted the Gold Crown Award.
