Empowering Filipinos: 60th Anvil Awards Honor Home Credit PH for Excellence

“This award reflects our unwavering commitment to making life’s essentials and aspirations more accessible to our customers. Through our year-round campaigns for Summer, Back-to-School, and Holiday, which we have highlighted in the press event—we create opportunities for Filipinos to enjoy exceptional deals, including 0% interest installment rates during peak shopping seasons. As we have consistently done in recent years, we will continue to empower and uplift lives by delivering innovative financial solutions, staying true to our mission of bringing financial opportunities closer to every Filipino.”  ~Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of Home Credit Philippines

Leading consumer finance company's successful start to its new decade of operations is highlighted at an award-winning press event.

The top consumer finance company in the nation, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), won silver in the 60th Anvil Awards this year for its press conference, "Unlocking a New Decade of Credit Opportunities for Filipinos," in the Public Relations Tools Category (Special Events).

The award-winning event, which took place on May 13, 2024, signaled the start of an exciting new chapter for Home Credit as it entered a new decade of operations in the Philippines. This recognition highlights Home Credit's unwavering commitment to providing innovative financial solutions that empower Filipino families.

More than 100 journalists and bloggers attended the award-winning press event, which led to widespread media coverage on print, web, and television channels. These initiatives helped spread the word about Home Credit's 0% interest installment plans, which make expensive goods and necessities more affordable for Filipinos. Additionally, it included displays highlighting Home Credit's reliable partners, such as Silicon Valley, Abenson, Acer, Cellboy, Digimap, Imperial Appliance Plaza, Octagon, Power Mac Center, and Samsung.

Home Credit Philippines' Chief Marketing Officer, Sheila Paul, highlighted how the honor reaffirms the company's dedication to giving Filipino families a better financial future.

The press conference produced exceptional outcomes in terms of media reach, coverage, and cost effectiveness, surpassing expectations with its impressive attendance. It greatly increased HCPH's visibility in a number of industries, highlighting the company's goal of facilitating greater access to financial services for Filipinos all over the country.

The triumph of Home Credit's Summer Campaign was one of the event's most notable tales. Over 1,000 air conditioners were sold every day as a result of the 0% interest financing on cooling appliances, which helped Filipino families cope with the extreme summer heat. The event also highlighted how Home Credit's installment plans helped Filipinos afford high-end products like iPhones. The company made ₱30 billion in sales in 2023 alone, financing 12.5 million mobile phones, with ₱6 billion coming from iPhones.

The occasion also highlighted Home Credit's extensive product line, which includes everything from computers and televisions to e-bikes and medical devices. Home Credit's online platform, Shoppingmall.ph, which offers over 50,000 deals from more than 500 merchant partners nationwide, further improved the customer experience while increasing the company's accessibility and reach.

“This initiative was more than just an event; it was a celebration of Home Credit’s decade-long mission to improve the lives of Filipino families. We are honored to have played a role in crafting a campaign that not only tells Home Credit’s inspiring story but also creates meaningful connections with their customers.” ~Michael Dugenia, Managing Partner at DM&A Co., the marketing communications firm behind the press event

Following their 2023 Silver Anvil victory for the Back-to-School campaign, this Silver Anvil Award is Home Credit and DM&A Co.'s second honor. Their ongoing success serves as an example of a partnership that is results-driven and centered on engaging audiences in a meaningful and innovative way.

The Anvil Awards, which are in their 60th year, are widely acknowledged as the pinnacle of excellence in public relations in the Philippines. The Public Relations Society of the Philippines organizes it every year to recognize campaigns that exhibit exceptional originality and potency. Held at The Manila Hotel on January 28, 2025, this year's Gabi ng Parangal honored the nation's top public relations initiatives.
