Mondelēz International in the Philippines has received the Plastic Cleanup Partner Seal from PCX Markets, marking a significant step towards sustainability. This recognition emphasizes the company's commitment to sustainable practices, particularly its compliance with the Philippine Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Law and ongoing efforts to manage plastic waste in the snacking industry.

The Plastic Cleanup Partner label is given to businesses that take significant, measurable steps to clean up plastic waste. Mondelēz International's participation in this initiative aligns with their sustainability strategy, which aims to reduce packaging waste, improve recycling systems, and promote a circular economy. PCX Markets is a plastic credit marketplace that works with organizations to collect and divert post-consumer plastic waste using a transparent, environmentally sound, and socially responsible framework.




In addition to receiving the Plastic Cleanup Partner seal, Mondelēz International also discussed its ongoing efforts to support the EPR Law. The company is committed to complying with the law’s guidelines and actively participates in initiatives to make packaging materials more circular and less wasteful. This commitment goes beyond the 40% collection and diversion requirement of the EPR Law this 2024.
