Mondelēz International Joins HR Asia Awards Hall of Fame

“This award is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our entire team to creating a workplace that truly values and empowers every individual,” she stated. “At Mondelēz International, we believe that our people are our greatest asset, and this recognition reflects the collective efforts we’ve made to foster a culture of growth, innovation, and inclusivity. We are incredibly proud to be recognized among the best companies to work for in Asia, and we will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do.” ~April Valencia, Country People Lead for the Philippines

Mondelēz International in the Philippines received the prestigious Gold Harmonia Award at the HR Asia Awards 2024. This solidifies its place in the Hall of Fame as one of the Best Companies to Work For in Asia, specifically in the Philippines Chapter. Mondelēz International in the Philippines has received this honor for the fifth year in a row, highlighting the company's dedication to creating a positive work environment.

A Legacy of Growth and Excellence
Mondelēz International was recognized at the HR Asia Awards for prioritizing employee and partner growth and well-being, in addition to driving business success. This success is driven by initiatives that focus on three key pillars: growing the business, growing its partners, and growing its people. Mondelēz International's everyday goals are based on these pillars, which align with the company's vision of empowering people to snack responsibly.

The implementation of strong leadership programs, such as the Leadership Council, has been a key component in shaping the company's culture. This council has played an important role in promoting an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture, allowing employee leaders to make meaningful contributions to the organization's goals.

Leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Mondelēz International prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace. Culture and employment aspects have been evaluated for both current and potential employees to ensure that people are viewed and recognized for their skill and talent, rather than discriminated against based on gender, race, or religion. Recent initiatives in support of these include the release of an updated sexual harassment policy with sensitivity for LGBTQIA colleagues, a gender-neutral restroom in its 61-year-old facility, and a local DEI policy that protects employees' right to a chosen name, right to dress, and right to safe spaces.

Innovations in HR Practices
In addition to focusing on leadership development, the snack company has adopted cutting-edge HR practices. The company has made significant progress in digitization and automation, transforming its operations and improving the employee experience. One initiative is the groundbreaking use of Virtual Reality (VR) for new employee onboarding. This program provides a virtual tour of the company's office, which is especially useful for those deployed in remote areas of the Philippines. These advancements have streamlined processes, increased efficiency, and helped the company maintain its market competitiveness. Mondelēz International's commitment to HR innovation has solidified its position as a top employer in the region.

Hall of Fame and a Triple Win
Mondelēz International received multiple HR Excellence Awards, including Gold for Workplace Culture, Gold for Employee Advocacy and Brand Ambassadorship, and Bronze for Women Empowerment Strategy. Established in 2022, the award ceremony aims to serve as an incubator platform for HR teams to showcase their strategies and initiatives. Over the years, it has become a benchmarking stalwart across industries. Mondelēz International achieved these awards through its purpose-driven initiatives and engaging culture-building programs, which resulted in stronger engagement, as reflected in its recent employee survey.

A Culture of Growth, a Great Place to Work
Mondelēz International's success at the HR Asia and HR Excellence Awards is attributed to their employees' dedication and hard work.
