InLife Makati Building achieves the WELL Health-Safety Seal

“The WELL Health-Safety Rating, along with the LEED Gold Certification, shows that InLife follows best practices and established standards to ensure the health and safety of our employees, tenants, and guests. Our strong focus on people’s health and safety and environment-friendly operations is anchored on our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Program.” ~Hector A. Caunan, InLife’s Senior Vice President and Real Property Division Head

Insular Life (InLife) Makati Building has achieved the WELL Health-Safety Rating.

This prestigious seal underscores InLife's dedication to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, tenants, guests, and other stakeholders.

The Insular Life (InLife) Makati Building recentlyreceived a WELL Health Safety Rating from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This seal demonstrates InLife's dedication to ensuring the health and safety of its employees, renters, guests, and other stakeholders. The WELL Health-Safety assessment is an evidence-based, third-party certified assessment that emphasizes operational policies, maintenance protocols, stakeholder participation, and emergency plans for a post-COVID-19 environment.

InLife’s WELL Health-Safety Achievements are in the areas of cleaning and sanitization procedures, emergency preparedness programs, health service resources, air and water quality management, stakeholder engagement and communication, and innovation.

InLife’s Senior Vice President and Real Property Division Head Hector A. Caunan said the company chose its Makati Building as the pilot for the WELL Health-Safety Rating since it already earned the Leadership for Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification in 2018.

The InLife Makati Building, built in 1962 at the heart of the Makati Central Business District, features 22,528 square meters of gross leasable space, a 300-seater grand ballroom, and brand-new systems and equipment. The iconic 14-storey modern building uses non-ozone-depleting air-conditioning substances, as well as energy-efficient light loads, lifts, and escalators. Also, the building can harvest rainwater for its custodial use and recycle over 90 percent of its construction waste.

InLife is proud of this accomplishment and will continue to adhere to fostering a safe and sustainable environment for everyone who utilizes their facilities.
