Today, the publicly traded Yuchengco-Ayala education partnership launched iPeople, a first-of-its-kind service that allows students from the Philippines to participate in highly cost-effective global educational experiences with top international universities and a top Philippine university.

Arizona State University (ASU), which has been ranked America's most innovative university for the past eight years, ahead of Stanford and MIT, joined forces with iPeople school Mapua University and its daughter schools Mapua Malayan Colleges Laguna and Mindanao last year.
The programs in business and health sciences are the focus of the collaboration. The W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU was ranked #1 for online bachelor's programs in business in the most recent US News & World Report rankings of online programs. The ASU online bachelor's program in psychology was ranked #4.
The Mapua schools joined the ASU-Cintana Alliance, a global network of 15 of the most cutting-edge higher education institutions in Asia, Europe, and the Americas, as a result of this collaboration.
At a press conference held in Mapua’s brand new Makati campus, the most modern in the NCR, the collaborating schools introduced several ground-breaking offerings.

Students at the Mapua schools can now participate in a variety of international learning experiences while they are there. First, all of their ASU-enhanced courses have access to ASU's world-class content. Second, state-of-the-art virtual Global Classrooms allow students to take Global Signature Courses without having to leave the Philippines. These classrooms allow students to interact with classmates from around the world and learn from instructors at member universities of the ASU-Cintana Alliance remotely.
Additionally, ASU faculty in the United States can teach classes together with students. Last but not least, ASU-Cintana Alliance schools will offer dozens of student exchange and summer immersion programs to students.
